My Story. My Mission.
Returning the sacred and natural to comfort care during life and death
As a nurse for over 30 years, I have had the privilege of standing beside individuals and families in some of life's most vulnerable moments. Over time, I began to notice how the increasing demands of healthcare—documentation, technology, productivity, and pace—were quietly reshaping the experience of care.

Today, the relational heart of caregiving is often being overshadowed by urgency and task.

Caregivers are called to serve, to connect, and to make a meaningful difference at this time. Yet many now find themselves stretched thin, navigating systems that leave little room for presence. I have felt this tension myself.

It became clear to me that something essential was at risk of being diminished because current-day structures surrounding care have been evolving in ways that pull us away from our shared humanity.

Nearly 13 years ago, I participated in a year-long integrative training program. While it deepened my skills in some ways, it would soon reveal gaps in what I sensed comfort care needed to include—gentle touch, reverent presence, music, ritual and the honoring of the sacred within each person.
Over the years, I continued refining and integrating modalities that support both the caregiver and the one receiving care. What emerged from that continued learning, reflection, and bedside experience became the foundation of Sacred Comfort Care.

This natural approach to care is also an invitation to restore what can easily be lost in task-driven systems— tenderness, dignity, reverence, and relational presence. It affirms that even within modern healthcare, we can practice care that is deeply human, grounded, and compassionate.

If you feel this quiet knowing that care can be more sacred, more natural, and more present, I invite you to walk this path with me.

What sets us apart...
holistic
We honor the whole person as sacred: mind, body, soul. In the world of healthcare often shaped by speed, technology and efficiency, we meet you where you are, with patience, gentleness and compassion.
selfless service
It's not just about what we do, but how we do it, through selfless service, reverence and a commitment to seeing each person as a beloved child of God.
sacred guiding principles and practices
We bring comfort through the art of natural, integrative practices: therapeutic-grade essential oils, sacred touch, breathing & relaxation, music, ritual and ceremony. These practices are all shrouded in heart-centered, loving kindness, guided by "the golden rule".
You guided all of us in the family through unchartered territory, patiently listening and teaching us. Your reassurance and explanations gave us resilience. We will never forget you.
