As a nurse for more than thirty years, I have had the privilege of standing beside individuals and families during some of life's most vulnerable moments. Over time, I begant o notice how the increasing demands of healthcare— documentation, technology, productivity, and pace—were quietly reshaping the care experience.

The relational heart of caregiving was often being overshadowed by urgency and task.

Caregivers are called to serve, to connectm, and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Unfortunately, many now find themselves stretched thin within systems that leave little room for presence. I have felt this tension myself.

Nearly fifteen years ago, I participated in a year-long integrative training program. While it deepened my skills in many ways, it revealed missing components. Through the years I continued refining and integrating practices that support both the caregiver and the one receiving care. What emerged from continued learning, patient experience and reflection, became the foundation of Sacred Comfort Care.
