Level 2 Certification: Full Embodiment

Level 2 is an advanced, intentional pathway for those who feel called to formally serve as Sacred Comfort Companions.This level moves beyond learning into integration, embodiment, and accountability. Participants deepen their skills, examine real-world applications, and engage in supervised reflection around actual companioning experiences.

 

Level 2 is appropriate for those who:

  • Intend to offer Sacred Comfort Care in hospice, healthcare, faith-based, or community settings

  • Desire mentoring, feedback, and deeper discernment

  • Are prepared to explore ethical responsibility, scope of practice, and real-life complexities

Level 2 includes:

  • Additional training and advanced material (Module 5- Your Silent Companion: Death;  Module 6- Developing Your Practice)

  • Guided reflection on lived or observed companioning experiences

  • Mentoring and integration support

  • A deeper examination of boundaries, discernment, and readiness

  • Basics of building a practice: structure, marketing, supplies, etc.

  • Required 8-10 documented practice hours

  • Completion of Level 2 certification requirements is 4 months after course completion (unless approved otherwise).

This 4-week program is offered at an introductory price of $250. 

 

Completion of Level 2 results in recognition as a Certified Sacred Comfort Companion, indicating preparedness to offer this model of care within appropriate scope and context.

Progression to Level 2 CertificationLevel 2 Certification is intended for those who have actively integrated the principles and practices of Level 1 into their caregiving, companioning, or personal formation.Completion of Level 1 alone does not guarantee eligibility for Certification. Applicants are expected to demonstrate ongoing engagement with the Sacred Comfort Companion model through practice, reflection or lived application.

 

**Those who do no take the Level 2 training immediately after Level 1, or have been away from the work for an extended period, or who have not had the opportunity to apply the training, may be asked to complete a refresher, re-immersion, or take additional steps prior to entering Level 2.**

By registering for and participating in a Sacred Comfort Care training or group forum, you agree to the following:

Sacred Comfort Care programs are educational and experiential in nature. They offer non-medical, non-clinical comfort practices and teachings intended to complement—not replace—professional healthcare or therapeutic services. Participants agree to practice within their own professional scope and applicable laws.

​

Participation may include discussion of sensitive topics such as illness, death, and grief. You are responsible for your own physical, emotional, and psychological well-being and are encouraged to seek additional support if needed.

​

All course materials and content are the intellectual property of Sacred Comfort Care and may not be copied, recorded, or shared without written permission.

​

Confidentiality is essential. Personal stories or identifying information shared within the training or group forum must remain within the group.

​

Group forums are spaces for respectful dialogue and reflection. Please speak from personal experience, refrain from giving unsolicited advice or diagnoses, and honor the diverse backgrounds of participants. This forum is not intended for crisis support, medical advice, or clinical consultation.

Promotion or solicitation of personal services or products is not permitted.

​

Sacred Comfort Care reserves the right to modify program content and to remove participants from a training or group space if behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with these guidelines.

By participating, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

Cancellation Policy

Because Sacred Comfort Companion Training is offered in a small-group format and requires advance preparation and commitment, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Participant cancellations received 14 days or more before the start date will receive a full refund, minus an administrative fee of $ 40, or may transfer their registration to a future training if space allows.

  • Cancellations received 7–13 days before the start date are eligible for a 50% refund or may apply the full amount as a credit toward a future training within 12 months.

  • Cancellations received less than 7 days before the start date, or failure to attend after the training begins, are non-refundable, as space has been reserved and materials prepared.

  • If a participant needs to withdraw due to serious illness, emergency, or unforeseen hardship, they are encouraged to reach out directly. Requests will be considered with care and discretion.

 

Program Cancellation by Facilitator

In the unlikely event that Sacred Comfort Companion Training must be cancelled or postponed by the facilitator due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered:

A full refund, or the option to transfer registration to a rescheduled or future training.

 

Minimum Enrollment

A minimum number of participants is required to hold the training. If minimum enrollment is not met, participants will be notified in advance and offered a refund or transfer to a future session.

Sacred Comfort Companion Training is offered in a small group format, typically with 10-12 participants. Group size may be adjusted slightly based on setting and facilitation considerations.

Thank you for honoring the commitment this training asks of both participants and facilitator.
